HELP!!!! Taking the NCLEX in 2 weeks!!!

I graduated from nursing school a month ago. I just received my ATT and scheduled to test in June 9! Since graduation, I've been practicing 100-150q's a day on my own from Saunder's 3rd & 4th ed, Kaplan Strategies book/cd, NCLEX 3500 and Kaplan Qbanks. The thing is that when I do questions from Kaplan Qbanks, I usually score in the 50's-60's but in Saunder's I always get above 70's. It's weird. Am I ready for this????????????? I don't know what to think anymore. I should be done practicing an overall of 3500 practice questions before taking the NCLEX.

As long as you stay above 50% with the qbank questions you'll do fine. I took it last year and was faced with the same dilemma (scoring WAY higher from Saunder's) and this made me nervous as well. I averages around 55-65 through Kaplan and i would be surprised if i answered a single question wrong.

you'll nail it, just keep up with the questions and stay positive!

I'm three years out of having taken the test. Here's some advice:

1) Get plenty of rest. Can't stress that enough!

2) Keep practicing the questions. I passed on the 1st try.

3) I used alot of Rayfield & Manning's material. It's fun, it's interesting. Simple mnemonics for memory if that works for you - did for me.

4) The biggest thing - remember the ABC's and the nursing process. Read the questions carefully. Determine if you're assessing or if you've assessed and need to take action.

5) The NCLEX is about what YOU as the nurse would do, not the doctor, not anybody else - what is the NURSING action.

Above all, try to relax and have faith in yourself. You did make it through the toughest course of study!

Hi Supernurse! It's nice to know we're both in the same situation! I'm currently taking Kaplan, and I usually score in the mid 50's, I would say about every third test I get in the high 60's, even 70s sometimes- as you can see my scores are SO inconsistent! Then when I'm feeling depressed about how bad I'm doing I do Saunders questions and I always do really really well. It's SO frustrating!! I have to admit, I am a little worried that Saunder's questions may not be "passing level questions." But then again I have no idea. I wish I had some good advice for you, all I can say is just keep up the studying and you'll do great!! Good luck!!

You sound fine! Really...as long as you are over 50%, you are doing awesome. And 3500 questions is a good amount. You can do this!
