Help with reflections needed.

I used Bev Taylor, technical, practical and emancipatory reflection for my NP degree, took some getting used to

I suppose to the OP it's about finding a system and model of reflection that suits your style. I used to think about a clinical situation and then reflect on it using the different models. That way you can find which one suits you

Have been using Gibbs, guess I need to make my reflections more personal.Only thing is the subjects I was allocated to feedback on, one was the signs and symptoms of labour, I find it odd to make that personal and reflect on my own labours. Is this what I am supposed to do??????

I understand reflecting on the clinical experiences but am struggling with these learning packs.

I've just recently completed a BTEC level 4 professional course in Managing in a Care Environment & have learned the art of BS really well!! Which is what I think the vast majority of it is!

On a serious note - because I know you have to do it whatever - there is a wealth of information out there on the Internet and because I assume you have "Athens" access you should look back for articles in nursing research journals in particular as they have tons of examples of both the use of such models & the theory behind them.

So are you doing a midwifery placement / block is that why they have given the subject of labour. I would not like to reflect on my own personal experience.

What is the specific question, can you give us a bit more detail about what clinical placements you are doing as well.

The pregnancy package was just for one week, I did my presentation no probs just the reflections Im having trouble with-knowing what to reflect on. In my first attempt I reflacted on what I had presented but this is obvs not correct.

I am just about to start week 2 of a 2 week taster placement ( ON ORTHO) then I go back for 7 weeks in Sept, other than that its all been lectures.
