Has anyone here taken boards with an expunged record without disclosing it on their application in Oklahoma? Over ten years ago, I went through a very reckless stage. Needless to say, I was jailed once for trafficking which was later dismissed because I really didn't know that my passenger had drugs on him. I was nineteen. I had this expunged and I thought I would be just fine to go to school to be a nurse which I've always wanted. I'm almost 31 now and my life is beautiful. I have a wonderful husband and 3 yr old daughter and I'm light-years away from that irresponsible young adult. I graduate nursing school in May and as I fill out my app for the OBN, I'm realizing that expunging my record may not have been enough. When I did the expungment, I was assured that I would never have to disclose the arrest. Could someone please help? I'm so distraught. I have the highest grades in my class and I'm vice pres of my SNA. Myself (and my family) have worked so hard for this. I feel like I was born to nurse. Help please....

Tell the truth it'll hurt u far worse to lie
Absolutely, without a doubt, I will not lie to the BON. I was just so sure that an expunged record meant that it did not exist. I was sadly mistaken. I've worked so hard to get to this point and I'm not going to let this stop me, if it's within my power. Thank you

The vast majority of nursing boards are concerned with CONVICTIONS. You said that the charge was dismissed. Most likely this will not prevent you from licensure.
+1 on the never lie. :)
