I need help desperately! I was just accepted to a nursing program in philadelphia,pa and I need a private loan to pay for my tuition. I tried my cosigner, but was still turned down...I can't find anyone else to cosign my loan... I am so upset because I spend so much time and effort taking prequistes and spend so much money with application fees and net test fee I will be upset if I can't start in january. I already spoken with financial aid who was unable to direct to any other funding sources...At this point I am depressed and don't know what else to do.... I will be extremly heart broken If I can't start the program becasue I have no money...Could someone help me please! Any info is very much appreciated!

Have you tried Sallie Mae, credit unions, every bank in town? I got private loans through Chela that don't have the best terms, but you might try them. Have you filled out FAFSA?

Perhaps you can find different cosigner?
the school I planned on attending just opened up two years ago they will get their accredidation next year....so federal loans and pheaa is out the question....so the only way is private loans.....As far as a cosigner, most people I know does not have the excellent credit needed for me to secure this loan....The only cosigner I have was not approved by sallie mae.....

My advice....Get into another school- don't let this hold you.

Really re-think going to an unaccredited school, no credits transfer, ever.
They charge ridiculous amounts of money, and the job market is even tougher. Most of the hype and promises they make are unfounded.
An accredited school can and will help with grants, loans, and scholarships.
All at less than half the costs.
Best of luck to you.

ITA.
It sounds like you should look for a different school. There has to be a way that you can make this happen affordably.
