The number of questions has absolutely no bearing on your results. You can pass with 75, as well as not pass with 265. You can not pass with with the same numbers. Do a search on this forum and you will see what we are talking about.

i have heard that if you are sure to pass at 75 the computer will shut down same as if you can't possibly attain a passing score after 75 questions then the computer will shut down

i know how you are feeling, waiting for a score that means so much to your future is rough...if you would like an old timey story..i had to wait six weeks and get it by mail...

good luck

99.99999% of the people I know whose test shut off at 75 passed. Not guaranteed, but I'd say the odds are in your favor! Best of luck to you!!!

I took my boards last August, and I only got 75 questions. I felt the same way that every single nurse I have ever talked to does: I was sure that I failed. But I didn't.

I know it's tough these few days until you find out. Want my advice? Pay the $8 or whatever it is to find out from Pearsonvue.com your test results. Good luck!

If the questions overal l kept getting progressively harder, then you passed. If the questions got so easy to the point a sixth grader could answer them, then you failed. I've never heard of anyone failing after answering 75 questions. If there's even a doubt in your mind, then you definitely passed. Also, at least in MA, about 2 days after the test, you can find out online at the BON if you passed. CONGRATULATIONS!

I just found out I passed at 75.. These last 48 hours were awful.. so awful.. I can't even begin to give you advice.. I kept thinking about all the stupid answers I gave.. Mine did get progressively harder but it seemed like at about question 60, it got a lot easier which totally scared me.. So I don't know if I imagined they were easier or if it was actually something familiar or what.. But that test was hard.. I totally know how you feel.. Hugs to you...

Congratulations Schoolgirl!

Relax!

My test shut off at 75 three days ago and I just learned that I passed the exam one hour ago.

Think positively!!:roll

Not all states permit this.

The testing center cannot tell if you passed, they do not see your exams, they are snet by computer directly to be scored.

And they can't tell you, they do not know.

There has been a couple of nurses who I work with that have not passed withe 75 questions and some that has. I only had 75 questions and wondered if it was a good thing or not. Thank goodness I passed. However, those few days of not knowing were awful. Hope things turn out for you and good luck in the future.
