HELP I changed my exam date

Hello everyone,

Congrats to everyone that has taken the exam and passed :balloons:. I was scheduled to take the exam on Aug 3rd and my daughter talked me into changing the date to July 24th. Am I crazy or what. I'm so nervous that every time I think about it my stomach hurts. My daughter took the boards on tues of this week and just found out she passed after having 86 questions. You see she's younge and I'm 50 and it's not as easy for me. Yes I made it though class, but this exam has me scared. I've been studying Saunders and I'm also doing Kaplan's. I don't like Kaplans so I really concentrate on Saunders. If anyone has any words of wisdom for a old lady, please feel free to do so. Again Congrats to everyone.

yes i am, i've been studying since dec.i am trying not to think about it.i have butterflys.:uhoh3:but i am trying to think positive.

SisterSweet and Scoobydoo23, dont worry. All will be well.I belive you have studied the best you can. All i can say is to study, stay focused and positive. It will work out in your favor. I found out that nerves could also be part of what fluster people during the exam. If you pass 75 and it doesnt turn off, take a breather. Look away from the computer and re-focus your attention on the exam. I answered 193 or about and i passed. I kept reminding myself that i didnt have free 200 dollars to give to NCLEX and also i remembered what the dean of my nursing school said, as long as u are receiving questions, u are still in the game to prove yourself, that u shoudl make the most of it. So dont fret, think positive and do the best u can.

For my study materials i did the Kaplan Question trainers, Qbank, Lippincot and springhouse. On the Q-bank, my average was 54%. WHen i was about to take the exam i started getting in teh 60's on Kaplan. the highest was a 64%, apart from the 88% i got on the sample test. Read Priority, teaching, adn meds the most u can. it might throw u off. Try to know some patho of some diseases, It might also help. i hope i have not written too much.

Well, the exam is close, so, think as positive as you can and imagine yourself as a nurse already. When reading the questions, imagine yourself actually going through the motions mentioned and see if they make sense out of the choices left for you to choose. Good luck!

You will do just fine I'm sure. I actually did the same thing as well. I scheduled my test for the 21st of july and got so antsy. I got so excited when i heard about my classmates passing one after the other and they were so excited and I myself was very happy for them and wanted to also feel the joy, lol sooooooooooooo i moved my date up to july 12th I got 75 questions and i passed as well, sooooooo I wish you luck at your NCLEX.
