Nurses General Nursing

Good night,

This year I am starting my bachelor's degree in nursing, in the University of Guarda, Portugal. I am so happy, Monday I am going to have my first day, dieing of nervous. I am thinking, in Portugal there ain't a lot of work, so I began to look for countries to immigrate to, four countries came out of the search, namely, USA, UK , CANADA and AUSTRALIA. In conclusion, I would like to move to Canada in the end of my four years, can anyone help me with the process pls?

Choose which province you'll want to work in and their nursing association will have a detailed description on how to apply.

Essentially, you'll have to prove your training is equivalent to ours and you'll have to write the nclex before you can register. And prove English competency

I have a good level of English, at least I think...

I would like to move to Ontario,

How long does it take from the moment I submit the process to the very end of it, I mean, when I get a working visa

No idea, but it does sound like Ontario is a hard place to get a job according to the forums

Yes it will be very difficult to get a work visa to be a nurse in a lot of areas in Canada. There's no real nursing shortage.

So what is the easiest area to get a visa?

Between the US or the Canadian immigration service, what is the easiest? And how much time am I going to wait?

Specializes in Critical Care; Cardiac; Professional Development.

An immigration Visa in the US takes about 5-7 years at this time due to a huge waiting list from what I am told.

I am from Europe, I don't know if going to the UK is a better option , even with brexit.

I am sitting AUSTRALIA out, because I am not the biggest fan of spiders and snakes.
