Help finding a Cna program in AZ

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a good school to attend to for the cna program. So far I have found Arizona medical training institute, Accord healthcare institute, & Providence training institute. Have any of you attended any of this schools? would you recommend any of them? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

Specializes in Med/Surg, Ortho, ASC.
Specializes in OB-Gyn/Primary Care/Ambulatory Leadership.

Why not just look at the many community colleges? Way back when I was a nursing student, we were required to take a CNA course before starting the RN program. The local community college offered a course that was 4 weeks long, probably cost about $500, and allowed one to take the CNA exam. That's a lot cheaper than the private technical schools, which are $1000+.

Specializes in OB-Gyn/Primary Care/Ambulatory Leadership.

Or, what Roser said.

Specializes in Long term care.

Check your local Red Cross.

That's where I did my training.

Specializes in hospice.

I went to AMTI in Mesa. Good program, cheap, and fast. That's okay for CNA training as long as the program is high quality, and when I went there almost 4 years ago, it was. It was only about $1000 for the whole program.

The CCs here take a whole semester for CNA.
