If you want most expensive one :uhoh3:, then go to Emmanuel School of Nursing at Northern and 30th Ave.

It depends where you live and how far you want to travel. There is affordable one in Mesa.

any one please help me to find cna programme in phoenix, arizona area

here's the file on the az bon page that lists the approved cna programs here in az:

http://www.azbn.gov/documents/education/na%20training%20approved%20programs%20list.01.28.08.pdf

i just started calling them down the list to see which nursing homes still have the classes (no luck there for me) then the individual schools. the one glina mentioned in mesa was recommended to me by mesa community college when i was inquiring about an evening class. it was also mentioned as the company who did the class at one of the nursing homes i called, and the cna in the nursery where i volunteer one night said she went there. i posted all the info for rsaa that i got (mostly about the evening program) on a different thread that's around here somewhere. ;)

I realize this post is old, but I am also looking for a place to get my CNA. I called a few places on the list from the State Board, but I didn't see any place that charges only $500....I've been getting quotes in the $1000 range. Could you tell me specifically the name or contact info of the place you received your training? Thanks!

I reallize this post is old, but I am also looking for a CNA class. I called a few on the list and was being quoted prices in the ballpark of $1000. Can you specifically tell me the name or contact info of the place you went to that only charged $500? Thanks!!!

I just completed my CNA training at Paradise Valley Community College and loved it. It is a 6 hr. credit course x $71/ credit (instate fee) - so it is fairly affordable. They offer both fall & spring classes, including a late start during each semester. Hope this helps!

Go to google and search CNA programs in phoenix

Check out Providence Training Institute. The tuition was one of the lowest in the Valley and the training is pretty good and pretty fast. The last time I checked they were offering free CPR training, TB skin tests, and Fingerprinting with enrollment. The website is: http://www.ptihealthcollege.com.

I hope this helps :)

Just in case anyone is looking currently, on the west side there is the community colleges who offer CNA and also MedStar and The Nelson Academy. The Nelson academy is offering it on weekends that best suit my schedule plus they are the cheapest. $800) I believe Med Star is more expensive by like 600$ but may have a few things included in their cost such as some of the supplies. I am enrolled at Nelson Academy and will let you know what I think of the program...so far so good! :lol2:

Does ne one know the education difference or hiring preferences when it comes to the accredited community college programs and other programs? My impression is that we all get to sit for the state boards so why not go with the cheaper program that offers weekends which works out best for me right now.

I also need help finding a CNA program. I live in the Avondale/Goodyear area, so the ones in Mesa are too far for me to drive. I also teach until May 21st, so I need something that will run during the summer and be completed by July 30th. I called this one called Nelson Academy, but they didn't have specific dates for the summer. I found a couple other ones, but am not sure if they are good or not. I don't plan on being a CNA ever and am just taking this so I can take the manual skills test and apply for Gateway LPN program.

I tried Scottsdale Community College and their program is already full for the summer. The other community college dates won't work for me because I'm teaching the week they start.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I called this Star Canyon place and they still haven't returned my call yet. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Anyone have any experience with Providence?

Also, how soon do you take your test after you are done with the course? Thank you.

There is a place called (westside) Cactus Wren, MedStar, The Nelson Academy, EMCC and other community colleges, a couple nursing homes in the west valley offer it as well. Good luck, tell us who you find and how it goes! :yeah:

If anyone else has done it at a nursing home in the west valley, please post the name so I can contact them.I'm having a hard time finding one. The community colleges start either a week too early or end late when I'm already teaching.
