hi everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that I think this website is great.I just graduated from nursing school in jan.07, and I have been studying for the NCLEX since then my test is next week. When I began to study I felt so overwhelmed, and started getting such anxiety. Then I found out about this website, and it is unreal,I read the threads every night for some reason it relaxes my anxiety,it is very comforting to know that I am not going through anything abnormal, this is just the continuation of school just a bit more intense. I want to thank u all for relieving my anxiety;) .
on another note, maybe someone could give me some advice? I've been told over and over to just do questions to study for the test, that wasn't enough for me so I have been doing 100-150 questions a day and I have been reading my notes.with all of that I still do not feel confident enough,it is driving me nuts.Any advice I would appreciate it.Thank you again:monkeydance:
thank you, I have that book and I have been doing some of the questions, most of the questions that I did were a combination from Nclex 3000 cd,mosby and the saunders,I hope i will do okay i will keep u posted

Good luck to you. It's hard to approach the NCLEX feeling confident and that you've done enough. Good luck! Welcome to Allnurses!

I finished school in Jan 07 also. I take my exam Thursday the 8th. I know just how you feel. It is nice to know that I am not alone in the way I feel too. Good luck to you I know things will work out fine. We will be great Nurses.

You need to be confident in yourself that since you've graduated, not much has changed that will throw you curveballs on the exam! LOL! You'll do fine and remember, there's such a thing as overstudying for any test. If you don't know it by now....

:welcome: I felt the same way as you when I first came across this forum. A lot of good souls here, to comfort you, give you info, correct wrong notions, even ones who are very knowledgeable regarding legal issues. I just passed the nclex few days ago just doing self-review. Saunder's comprehensive book cover to cover but mastering cardiac, respi, renal and endo chapters together with the meds. You can go back to your med-surg books if you think that review books are not answering enough of your qxs regarding major topics like DM, CHF,etc. I just did a round of practicing Kaplan, Lippincott, ncsbn qxs. I inhibited myself from practicing the CDs so much since I just end up memorizing the answers with the limited rationales. It worked for me. Good luck to you! God bless you!
Thank you all for your support,I guess from my previous experience with nursing school whenever i studied I never thought I did enough,so at this point I am just going to take a deep breath and give it all I've got thanks again for calming my anxiety
