If it is Calif, I highly doubt it. Probably go to the student forums and you will probably find all the info you will need. Good luck

The private schools that have LVN programs are starting RN programs in the near future. The LVN programs are $18k for one year, I'm sure it will be double for RN. That's probably the only way to not find a waiting list in California. I only waited one year because my school is on a point system based on grades and I have good grades. Only 20 students a year get in from a different list that is based on when you signed up. Last I heard, it takes 2.5 years to get in off that list. This is of course after you spend 1-2 years on your prerequisites.

California had a wait list for all of the community colleges, same as with most other states. The only way that you won't find a list is when any of these new programs open up that were mentioned above.
When they opened a similar program in Arizona, there was no wait list, other than a $30,000 price tag. But that program even has a wait list now.

Most of the community colleges in the bay area do not have wait lists. But that doesnt mean you will get in on your first try. I'm in my second yeard at ECV in san jose and we had 400 applications and only 80 got in for my class. The frist year nursing students had about the same applications turned in but they only took 60 because they are having trouble finding nursing instructors.

Look into private colleges. This was my only way out of the dreaded waiting list. Good luck. :)
