Having problems with Clinical Terms :( Can anyone help

It sounds like you are looking for a reverse dictionary where you look up "fever" and it gives you the medical term. I've not seen anything like that.

This seems to do what you want. For example, for "pain in a joint" look under "p" and find "arthralgia" or for "fever" look under "f" and find "pyrexia"

BTW, since we're talking about links here it's perhaps appropriate for me to ask: How do you catalog your webpages? Do you maintain bookmarks in your browser or do you have them documented in a file?

I have a file within which is a bunch of Word files titled by subject (Ex: anatomy, physical assessment, medical terminology, care plans, IV solutions, obstetrics, etc.) There's almost 100 of them. Within each file are listings of websites along with some description of what is on that website. The really good links are listed at the very top of each file page with three asterisks attached to the front of them. They are formatted in Verdana, font 10 which matches the same size and font allnurses defaults to in the reply boxes. If I run across a good website I cut and paste its address into the appropriate file page, or sometimes I'll create a new one. I also have a file of links to information on certain diseases that come up a lot. I keep links and the texts to some of my care plan posts that I will post in other replies I give so I don't have to keep retyping the same information over and over--I just copy and paste the stuff. My premier file is "General Medical References". I have been checking the stickys when I have time to see if the links from this file of mine have ever been posted in a specific sticky. There's really good links there that I post all the time for students to use.
