Hello, everyone,
I am applying to school for Fall of 2013 and worrying about one class.
I dropped Anatomy at first place and tried to take it in Summer school, but did not pass it. (so I have W and F).
Thankfully, the school accepts repeating courses. (but have to get above B-)
I will be taking Anatomy in different school due to personal reasons...
Has anyone still got into nursing program with repeating class(es)?
I have B- in Microbiology Lecture/Lab
A in Psychology
A in Nutrition
A in Human Development
A in Intermediate Algebra
B in College Level Writing
A or B in Physiology (hasn't come out yet) - most likely A.
But the school I am applying only requires Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, and Psychology.
Am I just freaking out?
The-worried.

I got into nursing school with two classes I had to repeat. I stopped going to school during my first semester of college. I had to repeat English and a non credit math course. Since anatomy and physiology is a core requirement for the nursing program, it may be frowned upon. However, as long as you are successful in it the second time around you should be fine. Your other grades are great. You probably will not have a problem getting into the nursing program.

Hello!
I had to repeat 4 classes: Anatomy, College Algebra, Microbiology, and Chemistry... I am now at the end of my nursing program. Everything is possible! I think you'll be just fine. However, keep your options open. In other words, prepare to apply to more than one college or universiy. Nursing is very competitive to get in. Don't fixate yourself to one place, be flexible. As a nurse, you will also need to be flexible.
Best wishes! :)

I had a W and an F in a&p1. I ended up with a C and got a C in micro the same semester. All other grades have been A's and B's. I got accepted to a BSN program and start in January. I had somewhat high TEAS scores and a 3.4 GPA overall, so I think that showed the recruiters that I wasn't a screwup, just was having a hard year. Good luck :)
Forgot to mention the rest of my classes were "A" and "B" grades.
I also scored 89% on the TEAS test the first time I took it.
It is possible !!! You can make it !!

Because of random circumstances, I dropped A&P twice before I was finally able to take the full semester (and ended up with an A). Even with the two W's on my transcript for the course, I was accepted into an accelerated nursing program. I suppose it just depends on the school, but apparently it didn't matter for mine. Maybe just call the admissions office for the school you're interested in and ask! :)
I really appreciate your help. I had a difficult semester. I got C- in Micro and A n P. Even if I repeat these classes and get As, do you think a nursing school will accept me.I really want to know which school you applied to. That would really help me out! Thanks
