2011 Graduates Put your hands up

I thought it would be cool to start a thread for all that are graduating in 2011. I finish in October and have to wait for graduation in December. I would love to hear everyone's plan after they finish school. What field of nursing are they going into, do you already have jobs lined up etc.

I finished nursing school April 2011 and I just passed the Canadian Registered Nurse Exam (CRNE) =). Yay for passing and to all that hard work! Right now I'm looking for jobs here in Canada but I also plan to take the NCLEX sometime this year or next year.

I finished in May. Passed boards on June 18th. Been working every since May 31st.

Finish ABSN program in December. Whew, but doable. I would like to work in peds, peri-op, or oncology. Will apply to Pediatric nurse practitioner programs as soon as NCLEX is passed.

No job lined up. I live in FL but think I'm ready to "explore."

Congrats to you. :yeah:. I didn't know you had to take a CRNE in Canada. Has it been hard to find a job?

Wow congrats, how did you find a job so fast. I work for a hospital. I get a scholarship for the hospital I work at and I had to sign a two year contract, just afraid of where they may stick me when I graduate.

Congrats to you. We both finish in December. It takes a special person to do pediatrics. I think I want to do cardiac stepdown.

There are definitely jobs open but not a lot of Full-time hours. No one has called me back yet but I'm trying to get work from my last clinical placement (not the unit, but the hospital itself).

Graduated in May 2011, passed boards in July, start work TOMORROW!!!

Congrats on your job rnrnrnrnrnrnrrnrnrrn:lol2:..your name is cool.

What area will you be working (not geographic area)?

Graduated in May. Starting my 2nd week of work next week!
