I am wanting to know if any of you have applied to Georgia Perimeter's Nursing Program recently? I have applied for next fall but have only heard of denials from former students. I have a 4.0 in my biologys and a B average in all of the other core required for the program. But, I have had to drop out of a former nursing program bc of making a D in the class. I am hoping this does not prevent me from getting accepted. Please commment if you have applied and gotten in:) Thanks!

First, you might have better luck asking over here in the Georgia nursing section: Georgia Nursing
I don't attend GPC, but I live in Atlanta and know a lot of other pre-nursing/nursing students through my volunteership at a hospital who do. All I can say is that I know a girl who got into the LPN program with a 70 on the TEAS and a 3.0 GPA. I don't know if that helps. Maybe you should talk to an advisor in the nursing department at GPC about it?

I cannot offer any info BUT I am in the same boat as you. I had to withdraw out of a nursing program 9 years ago. Now I'm starting all over retaking all my sciences as they are outdated at GPC. I'm applying for fall 2014.

A friend of mine only had a 3.3 in the sciences/80 TEAS, and she was accepted to GPC's program, so I don't think you have anything to worry about with your grades! :)

Are you applying for fall 2013? I spoke with someone in nursing admissions because my program gpa is only a 3.0 and I have only taken A&P 1 but I got an A. She told me with a 4.0 science gpa and my TEAS score (88.7) I should be fine. So hopefully a good TEAS score and science gpa make up for a not-so-good program gpa! Do you know how we are supposed to go about applying? I wasn't sure if I have to go to the school to get the application. Good luck and hopefully we'll be classmates next fall!!!
