Will we be using those giant textbooks in class or are they mainly for reading and assignments at home? I'm trying to decide if I need to buy a wheely bag to carry everything.

Are there any current nursing students who can tell me how Monday's go? I know we don't have class, but I think that is when skill checkoffs are done. I have something to do on Monday mornings and want to know if it will be a conflict before I commit.

The (unofficial) word I have heard is that the Med-Surg intro book is only "occasionaly referrenced" in the first semester. I might reccomend getting a wheeled case for classes. I have one and it is invaluble.

Hey,I'm just starting NS but from what I've heard there are some stuff scheduled on Mondays already like tests ( in the calendar)... As far as the skill check offs...they have some lab time scheduled from 1:00-5:00 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays BUT with so many people it might be hard to get it... I have to work on Mondays so I'm going to have similar problem as you...

I just looked at the calendar in icollege (First Two Months Calendar under the course calendar icon of the home page) and saw that Mondays were entirely empty. Is there another calendar I should be looking at?

That is the same calendar I was looking at and it is open on Mondays. I have tried calling the school to see how check-offs are done. For some reason I was thinking it was a first come, first serve basis. But I do not know if that is correct and I do not know the time window to do the ckeck-offs (e.g. are they open from 8-5 on Mondays for skills checkoffs)?

Sorry I was looking at the calendar they showed us at orientation and there is Math test scheduled on Monday October 1st 9-1:00...and there was smth in November as well but not sure which Monday...

Hey ladies they usually/always open up the classes early on icollege so that the students can go through and look at the syllabus, class schedule etc...

I bet they will be up around this Thursday. That way you will have a better idea about things;)
