2.2gpa - need advice

i would take the second semester of english and composition, strive for a good grade, for it to help you with D in a&p, you would need tomake a B in each, to total the adverage to C........you might want to invest in tutoring etc prior to repeating, or while repeating....... going LVN route, is not bad, you will most likely be limmited to LTC, maybe some home health, LVNs who do upward mobility make very good RNs. The way A&P is taught in LVN school is rather intimate, practical, and might be of benefit rather than repeating collegiate A&P.......

I do not mean to be evil, but you have grammar spelling deficits, that is why i recommended taking second semester of english composition, if they have a remedial english class, those are very helpful......I am only trying to help you. I wish you all the best, us old nurses are getting tired

Personally, I would retake any class I got less then a B in.

Thanks for your advice. I'm actually was on my phone typing this message and I saw that my keypad didn't work on certain letters. I'm currently taking english comp and chem now and we have finals tomorrow. I'm confident to pull a A- in chem class and B+ in english class.

I was hoping to hear advice on if I should pursue taking the science classes or go lvn route. :) I appreciate the helpful advice

Thank you. That's what my counselor said to repeat. The thing is the science clsses are fast track classes

Even if you plan on going to do RN after LVN you'll want to retake the science classes. I think you'll need a better grade in those anyway for LVN program as well anyway.

oh i know what you mean, i will not even try to post on my phone, and sometimes this tablet is too sensitive .....

bot repeating the courses and considering LVN first are good choices, I have seen LVN's able to earn some $, while at the same time pursuing upper mobility RN programs

Thanks....yes, I'm thinking to take the fast track sciences this fall and also take the lvn entrance exam and hope to get accepted in the lvn program for jan 15 and also apply for rn program next spring for fall2015 program. does it matter if GE's are done or not as long as sciences are complete and english right?

I think LVN program would be great! I just want to say, any other classes you take, give your all too! Especially if you're in California, nursing is so crowded, we have a million ppl trying to get into nursing school, and the minimum gpa of 2.5 may allow you to be eligible to apply, however you're up against applicants who are pulling 4.0's. So with that said, I realllyyy believe in you! Give your absolute all to it, that may require letting go out some stuff for a while an shutting out a lot of ppl....also, keep in mind that some schools in California will knock off points on admission for retaking courses, so try to keep this to a minimal. I believe in you future nurse!

I do live in California and that's the main reason why i'm even considering LVN-RN route

because most of community colleges are super crowded. and i also send the same encouraging words back to you too :)

is there a hospital based lvn school in your area, they are rarer these days

im not sure...ill have to research :)
