Hi everyone,
I havent gotten around to writing on the board in about 6-8 months or so. School was hectic to say the least, but I took my last Pharm final today and I graduate next Thursday!!!! YAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
However I was wondering if any of you had some cool, cute suggestions for a gift for our instructors. There are three who have done so much to mold us into kind considerate, educated nurses. We have 23 students in the class and a limited budget. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Jami Soon to be LPN

Something useful. How about a nice pen engraved with your class number ie: 05/2005 grads?

hmm... for our teachers, we got a funny gift, and a serious gift...
(for the teacher that taught us personal care, we got a metal bedpan, and had it engraved... :)... that sort of thing...)
but, we also got each of our instructors a box of chocolate and a cadeuceus(Sp) pin engraved with our class year, and a sentiment...(which at this moment I cant remember...)
:)

My instructors have stated that the gift that means the most to them is to watch us graduate and become the best nurses we can be because we're going to be either working with or caring for them someday.

I was the president of our nursing class and for our LPN and RN year, for the LPN graduation we got very nice frames and had a class picture which a classmates hubby took (saved alot of money ) since we all know how broke we are in school LOL:chuckle , then for our RN class we got them ingraved plagues with a saying, the year nursing design and then thier name at the bottom, that way they could hang it in thier office and remember our class. They really loved them! Hope this helps!

I too graduate Thursday, congrats. For our instructors, we made baskets. Got the baskets cheap put some tissue paper in and we added personal items. Each clinical group did their instructor. For mine we did wine, glasses, coffee, candles and a small gift certificate. For another instructor we did movie passes popcorn candy. We paid dues throughout the 18 months and had money left over to do the baskets. We even left 75 dollars for the incoming class to have pizza and soda the first day. Nancy
