Getting Into School is Taking Forever

U.S.A. California

I am trying to get into the ROP LVN program in Orange County. It seems like I am never going to get in. How did everyone else deal with the long wait without losing their minds?

Would you consider the rop programs in la county too? perhaps they have a shorter waiting list. also, some community colleges in la county have lvn if your looking for programs outside of rop. if you wont locate north a bit then how about doing some prereqs for an rn program?

I'm still waiting to hear for an INTERVIEW for my direct entry MSN program. Now granted, my last transcript and recommendation made it to the school 10 days ago. But you think I would have heard something by now! :)

So I am focusing on school. I have two final projects due next week, I start 3 classes the following week, and I am trying to figure out how to fit A&P in my schedule this summer and still go on our annual vacation to the mountains.

Here is a list of all the accredited LVN schools in California:

How I got in was that I looked into about five community colleges in my area that had the LVN program. All schools were about 50 miles or less, one way. Some schools had different requirments. Some were more easily to get into than others. Luckily I got in a LVN program in my first try. I am starting in the fall.

Hi there! I'm interested in learning what school you applied to? I am trying to get into the one program offered here in San Diego, and boy is the competition tough! I'm debating whether just to go and get a second bachelors (which would take three years!) or just to wait it out.

Did you get called for your interview yet?
