Getting fat?

Hey, is anyone else gaining weight while they are in school? I have gained about 10-15lbs in the last year. I am eating alot of fast food though, r/t my goofy schedule and studying late into the evening. Just wondering how others are fairing and what you do to combat weight gain. Thanks!

Good heavens, this is my first week of school and I've been so stressed out that food has hardly crossed my mind!! I bet I've lost 10 lbs. since Monday!!

But it's good to read this, so perhaps once I get more in to the swing and am not so stressed out, I can be more conscious about what I'm eating!!

Sadly I gained 40 lbs. I am out of school now and it seems impossible to lose the weight because I'm always so tired....the weight is bringing me down. No energy to do anything. I used to be so active and since leaving school I just feel so drained. I wish mine was only 10 lbs!

Thanks so much for all the GREAT ideas!!!! I really love the idea of putting lectures on my ipod and "power cooking" then freezing it all. I enjoy running and biking but I always feel so guilty spending an hour or so (more on a long bike ride) on fun stuff and neglecting my studies. I am definatly putting lectures on my ipod! I've gotta make some changes now before I gain 30 more lbs or so. Thanks again for all the good ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I gained 10 lbs after my first semester. I've held off gaining any additional weight during summer sessions by always keeping bottled water with me, rather than drinking soda. I take a walk around campus areas during my breaks.

I think everyone gains weight... as a student you dont have a consistant schedule and life is just wacky crazy!!!! Ive forced myself to wakeup with enough time for breakfast every morning!!! IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO EAT BREAKFAST.... not only does it kickstart your metab. but it improves brain function so you can study and retain info better!!!

Also when i cut out the soft drinks and juice and started drinking only water (i carry a water bottle with me everywhere) I lost like 10 lbs!!!

I have probably gained 10lbs from eating out of the vending machines and at Burger King! Too tired and lazy...lol to exercise
