I was, but deferred my start date until Spring 2021.

hi I also deferred my admission. Question what made you all really choose Georgetown? The price tag is heavy but does the name really carry weight as an NP?

Their name. Their international reputation. The fact that we don't have to find our own preceptors.
In a world of Walden and Phoenix University grads, matriculating from an internationally renowned institution carries weight.

Hello - I'm wondering for the people who started this program last year - did Georgetown really find your clinicals? I've been accepted to the program and would love to hear from someone who has already started.

Were you accepted for the May cohort? I am still waiting to hear back?

Any insight on the interview?

Yes, Georgetown really does help find clinical preceptors. I graduated in the Summer of 2019 from the FNP program and never had a single clinical issue, and I live in a rural area. I did have to commute 2 hours each way for one semester (I just knocked out 2 consecutive days and stayed overnight in a hotel every week throughout that rotation), and I had to commute 1 hour each way for my last rotation (3 days/week). It was no big deal. I don't know of anyone who was ever delayed in school due to clinical issues.

Hi,
I start the FNP program in August and I was wondering who everyone suggests I try to take Patho with. I tried looking on rate my professor but only 1 or 2 of the professors are on there. Is there anyone I should stay away from or someone I should really try to take the class with. Thanks.

I had (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). I'm not sure whether he's still teaching that course; if so, I'd definitely recommend him. He's a physician and is knowledgeable, kind, down-to-Earth, and really gentle and supportive. I liked him enough to register for one of his sections of pharmacology the following semester, and my experience in that course was just as positive. I don't think I met anyone in that program who had a negative experience with a pathophysiology professor. Georgetown really does attract and retain amazing instructors. I graduated from GU in 2019; PM me any time ?

Looks like a moderator deleted the name of the professor I recommended to you. If it isn't against the rules to share that information via private message, I'd be glad to do so.

Anyone remember how long it took for the decision after the interview?
Did you get phone/email/mail notification?
Anyone get offered scholarship upfront?
