Jan 13, 201511 yr What lab values should you beware of prior to some starting on Furosemide for the first time? What are the most important things to know about your patient prior to Lasix use?
Jan 21, 201511 yr It sounds like you are doing the exact same thing. Doesn't it?Telling you to actually follow your own advice is NOT the same as telling someone they shouldn't be posting because they're meanies.
Jan 21, 201511 yr It sounds like you are doing the exact same thing. Doesn't it?I don't think so. I can't hear what it sounds like. It's a message board.I'm merely suggesting you lie in the bed you made.

Feb 5, 201511 yr Wow.Op lasix is a diuretic, right? Think about it, if the fluid is lost from the circulatory system the volume will be depleted. Less volume in the circulation, risk of lower blood pressure. Also in your studies you have read that many diuretics will cause the wasting of electrolytes, particularly potassium. You can expect the orders to include potassium along with the lasix at some point.Learn the mode of action of the commonly used drugs, then use your common sense to think how to answer your question. Next time you need some help, let us know what you have reasoned through first, then you will be offered more help. Good luck in your studies.
