I am so proud of myself and just wanted to share my excitement I not only passed the first semester of my Practical Nursing Program but I did so with an A. I worked my butt off this semester. I can't wait to start OB/Peds next week and I am hoping I can pull it off again.
I also found out the end of this semester my husband and I are expecting our second child, which is wonderful news. We aren't due until a month after I complete the program and by then I will be preparing for the NCLEX-PN. Things are falling into place and I couldn't be more happy.
Good luck to all of my fellow PN students just a little longer until LPN comes after our names.

Now keep that work ethic for when OB/Peds starts, it is a whole different animal.
Best of luck to you!

Congratulations on the good grade and the baby!
My first semester final is 6 days from now, finished LTC clinicals about a week ago. I am going into my final with an A, for which I never dared to hope. I've always been an A student, but last time I was in college (20 years ago) my responsibilities went as far as rolling my ass out of bed 20 minutes before class and grabbing breakfast from the cafeteria on the way out of the dorm.
Working full time while going to school full time, and also trying to be a mother to five kids and some kind of wife to my wonderfully supportive husband, I figured 92% was out of reach. While I'm pleasantly surprised, I still feel like I'm not sure I have retained and understand what I need to know as well as I should, but I guess that's good because it keeps me from being cocky.
Have a great second semester and hopefully a smooth, uneventful pregnancy.
Wow you have our hands full, I just started OB-Peds today it is a lot in 6 weeks but I know I can handle it as far as pregnancy goes it isn't looking good for uneventful since the doctor told me I am threatened miscarriage I just get to sit here and wait for the baby to get bigger to get a proper scan and find out what is going on. Prayers welcome for me and the baby.
