FSW Fall 2015

Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.

Who is joining me next fall in nursing?

I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. :arghh: lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.

I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.

    I have to get my flu shot, so please dont tell me its sold out. :( I haven't had a flu shot in over 15 years. Haha

    I don't see why part time needs all these by August though as we aren't starting clinicals until January. Its not the school requiring these but hospital.

    However, I hope we all can get an extension if we can't get flu shot though. They have to understand, if it isn't avaiable.

    I'm applying for graduation in summer B with my AA because I no longer meet satisfactory progress, if I dont I can't get financial aid and I can't take any classes so I'm hoping it all works out.

    Also I'm pretty sure that stats is a pre-req for the nursing program. If not its definetly needed for your bachelors from my understanding.

    It's not that they ran out of the flu shots already. They haven't sent out the flu shots for this fall season yet.

    Yes they were pretty cheap and pretty comfortable. I haven't tried on more than 5 min though.

    Okay so I haven't been on in a while I apologize if I'm repeating something everyone knows. I ran my degree evaluation and realized that statistics and the writing intensive humanities is now required. I went to advising on the Collier Campus. The advisor there told me he thought it was for next Spring applicants but when he called the nursing office he was told that because our class is considered part of the new catalog that yes, it will be required for us to get our AS.

    Where are you guys seeing this? Im still missing writing intensive humanities, statistics & a&p 2 and I dont see none of this my degree evaluation.
