FSW Fall 2015

So how many pages is syllabus? I always heard its over 30 pages. Lol

I received emails too, although none with the syllabus.

Pardon my language but I'm sorry, I am so ******* confused as to these health tests we have to do. I called the health department and they said they don't provide those services (Titers, vaccines) I go to employee health and they're very vague and say I need to get all the Titers done, but yet FSW is telling me I don't need them all if I have vaccine documentation which I do. This **** is so ******* stupid.

No, you don't need all titers. Just get vaccines that you are missing. If you do not have documentation of that vaccine but you had disease like chicken pox then get titer done. Thats what I did on Thursday but I haven't picked up my results yet. But if you come back immune you do not need vaccine. Tb(PPD) and Tdap you need to get unless your Tdap has been less than 10 years ago and have documented proof. You can get everything including physical done at employee health. They will give you a sheet of paper with all prices. The only thing they dont have is flu shot because they dont have it right now. Btw in cape coral they were very helpful and take credit cards.

Oh btw, health dept is a bit more expensive. And don't forget Hep A or B arent required so you dont have to get them right now, you could just sign waiver.

Yup me too. I am just organized that way. I actually have binders for everything in my house. I guess I'm a bit OCD. Lol

Right my son tells me stop counting down because he doesn't want to school to start and I'm like yes almost one month left. Lol

Hi everyone! Congrats on making it in! I just finished my first semester at Lee. I will graduate the nursing program in Dec. 2016. I read a little of this thread and saw people were asking about working. I just want to tell you that this program is SUPER intense, especially the first and last semesters (or so I've heard). I can tell you that the first semester is really, really hard. Like so hard that A&P seems like a walk in the park after that. They will tell you at orientation that if is at all possible to not work, that is what you should do. I would say about half of the people in my class worked, and almost all of them were struggling just to pass.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone. I loved every single minute of my first semester and I'm very excited to start up again. I just think you should have a realistic point of view going in.

Hi! Thanks for the advice. I had a question about the shoes. Where did you purchase yours and what kind? The nursing handbook says NO CLOGS, but everywhere uniforms are sold they have CLOGS!!! Its driving me nuts. Please help.

Do you remember what you did for then Compliance Tracker ? Everyone has tried calling and the only response is that we need another code from the school. Do we just upload the documents to Certifiedprofile or...?

I have a question. I'm in the Lee FT program and it appears as though I am enrolled in 'NUC 1000 - NURSING COLLOQUIUM (CHARLOTTE). Does everyone get enrolled in this, regardless of what campus you're enrolled in? And when I click the link, it says: "Every student must complete ALL THREE hospital Orientation packets prior to beginning clinical each year." but I see five links? And they're all 'Bayfront PC'?

I also received the nuc 1000 course code for charlotte with first acceptance email packet. I then received a subsequent email saying that the Collier nuc course had not been completed yet and that we would receive a code at a later date. I received that code today and enrolled in the Collier nuc1000 course. If it's like the Collier page, there will be links to your classes grad date. Of course when I logged in may 2017 was wasn't there yet but I'm going to assume they will add this by the end of the week. If not, I'll email them.
