Forsyth Tech acceptance letter wait

Wow, they know how to kill you with anticipation. I took my TEAS in January and did well enough, that I should be accepted into the LPN program for this Fall. However, until I have that acceptance letter in my hand, I will hold my breath.

The deadline to have everything completed and turned in was Feb. 26. They claim that it takes 4-6 weeks for them to begin processing letters, but I noticed that there was a thread here last year, and everyone received their letters around the 20th of March.

Soooooo....here's to running to the mailbox every day, and coming back empty handed.

I hope it comes today.....

Hi Crystalin NC,

I also applied for the LPN program at FTCC. Hoping, today will be the day. If you don't mind me asking, how many points did you have?

I have 108 points. Last year, they accepted points ranging from 91-117, so I should be fine. But I'm one of those that worries that this year will be substantially more competitive. Lol

Oh, you will get in no need to worry. I only had 97 points total. I didn't do as well on the TEAS Test as I would have liked. But with the accepted points range from last year, I feel I may have a chance. I hope we know something today!!! lol This waiting is about to kill me lol

I checked on my techlink and it changed from general occ. tech to practical nursing curriculum. I feel like its a good sign.:)

That is a good sign meaning ur in I am in the program now they are changing everything books scrubs curriculum good luck to all of you its challenging frustrating and well worth it it goes by fast so keep up with studying organization and practice medication math lab values generic names of drugs over the summer and you will be ahead we graduate July 30th can't wait

Congrats! and thank you. As far as medication, math, lab values and generic names of drugs are there any specifics??

Has anyone heard anything yet? did anyone get a letter yet?

Look up common drugs and what ones counter act others look at systems and what drugs go with them I can't tell you much I don't want it to be considered cheating I also bought a box of drug cards for clinical saved alot of time good luck I'll be checking back

I havent heard anything as of yet. But I was on another board. And a couple of them have said that we can expect letters by April 15th. They called the admissions office to confirm. But seeing that my plan of study has changed in Techlink. I believe they maybe out sooner.

I understand. Thank you for the advice.

Practice nclex questions now also it helps when taking tests
