Forgot to attach live scan to application for licensure

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello,

I tried calling the BRN and emailing them, but they seem to be busy. I sent my application for licensure by examination with all the documents with the exception of the 2nd copy of my live scan fingerprint paper. Will I have to mail that separately to them or will I have to do the whole process again? If anyone has an answer to this that would be helpful. In the meantime I will be constantly trying to contact the BRN regarding this issue and will delete the post once I find an answer. Thanks!

Since every BoN has their own rules it might be helpful disclosing what state you're dealing with.

Meaning you didn't submit anything for the livescan paper? And just your regular application?

Thanks for the redirection of the thread. My apologies for the lack of information. This is for the California licensure by examination application. I attached the application, fee, and passport photo. I completed my live scan, but forgot to attach the live scan document onto the application like it states on the website. 1 copy was for the postal annex that conducted the live scan, 1 was suppose to be attached to my application, and the third copy was for mine to keep for records.

You can definitely send the live scan application separately! When I was turning in all my application materials a few months ago, I was out of state and could not do the live scan immediately. I ended up calling to ask if I could send it separately and I was told that it was perfectly okay to do so. They will just take note of what they have currently received from you and then include your live scan application later :). What they do or don't have, they have logged into their computer file and will send you via snail mail a notification if your application is complete or if you need to send any additional materials.
