Foreign nurses working in the UK

Hi!!!!!!!

I am a new member and will hopefully soon start to work in a Private Hospital in the UK!!

I am originally Dutch and I have been working in Hollland and Switzerland and Scotland as a Staff nurse.

I am looking for other overseas nurses who want to share their experiences by working in a Hospital in the UK.

I am very curious how you guys like it here in the UK!!!

I am unfortunately still waiting for my Disclosure!! :crying2:

I'm quite the opposite, and hopefully you can help...

I'm currently a Nursing Student, about to graduate, and moving to switzerland after graduation. How do I become a nurse in Switzerland? What tansfers, what tests need to be taken... in other words, I'm at a total loss as to how I taqke my nursing degree to Switzerland to become a nurse there...

Any help you can provide would be really helpful!

You will need to apply to their Board of Nursing for licensure, then take their exam in their language. You will also have to go thru the immigration process to get a visa that will permit you to work there legally.........you are looking at about a two year process, on average.

And the application process cannot begin until after you have a completed set of transcripts..............
