Flea Infested Student

I have never heard of fleas living on a person but yesterday I actually saw it for myself! SMH Nice, fat healthy, adult fleas AND "flea dirt" on a kindergartner.

Have any of you ever seen a FLEA infestation on a child? We removed the 5 that we found but I am not sure how to treat a person with fleas...

I'd start with OTC "puppy" flea shampoo if I was treating my own kidlet.

The lice treatments (shampoo, combs) will work on fleas as well.

Really?????? Poor kid. That is crazy!

The child's home needs treatment. Fleas do not breed on animals. They nest in a place and then hop on their hosts only to feed. Humans are not their primary target.

The child's home obviously has pets and a bad infestation. Perhaps the child is sleeping with a pet and fleas are breeding in the room. The parents need information on how to address this situation!

LOL the entire right side of my computer screen is advertisements for flea and tick treatments for dogs and cats:roflmao:

Agree, this happened to my older nieces, they had such a mess of CPS because the girls had fleas and it wasn't solved until their mother decided to get rid of the dogs sleeping in their room. :/
