Who else finishes up pre-reqs this fall??
This was my goal at the beginning of the year but since I took the summer off I didn't think I'd be able to make it.
I had originally signed up for Micro and Nutrition, leaving me just Chem 101 to take in Spring 2013. For some reason, they ended up dropping the nutrition class so I signed up for Chem 101 in its place, still just leaving me with one class to take in Spring 2013. Today, I was looking and they are offering nutrition, so I signed up for that class well. I'm a little worried they won't be offering it every semester since they dropped the program that went with it.
This will be the largest course load I've taken since I was in undergrad. I'm working full time (three 12-hour shifts a week) and just hope I can pull off all A's. I've already pre-read the Micro and Chem 101 books and am in the process of pre-reading the nutrition book so hopefully I will be okay. I'm taking Micro, Chem and the nutrition class online. I will be in class for the labs though.

If all goes to plan then I'll be finishing up my pre-reqs this fall, and I'm soooo excited!!!!
I'm taking chemistry and Spanish.. I just finished micro, and you're smart to pre-read... When are you submitting your application to nursing programs?

I am taking micro and sociology this Fall Semester. These will be my last 2 pre-reqs. I am hoping to get into the accelerated LPN-RN program for Summer 2013!

I won't be finished with my pre-reqs until March (we're on the quarter system). But after the fall quarter I'm applying to 2 BSN programs that let you finish pre-reqs during the nursing program. If I don't get into those I'll just keep going at my CC, finish the last 2 pre-reqs there and get on the loooong waiting list for that program (it's an automatic admission once you meet all minimum requirements)
Rox.G - I started pre-reading textbooks sophomore year of undergrad, I think. My grades really improved so I kept the practice. I also type out notes from the book, as well as class so I have something easy and portable to study from. (A little OCD when it comes to studying).
I'll be applying for fall of 2013 to UMSON's CNL program.
Limik - Good luck!!
bunnyfungo - If you don't get in the first time, keep applying while on the waiting list. Don't give up.

I can't relate to the 3 class part of that but for Spring 2012 my last 2 prereqs were Micro and Nutrition. It's not hard, but adding Chem into the mix will make it more... interesting. Having taken both I will say Chem is far harder, put as much effort into that as you can.

You'll be ok, 1 semester, I took CHEM 101, Biology 102, Nutrition and Med Term all together all online, with the exception of Chem labs on Saturdays. Time management is a must!! I ended up with all A's but the chem class was definitely the hardest for me. I'm applying to a Hybrid ADN program next week, I have completed all my pre req's and co req's with the exception of 1 (a and p II), which i will start taking in 2 weeks. So hopefully I'll make it in and, have only nursing courses to take, or any classes i want to go towards a BSN.
Good Luck

I'm taking my last prereqs this fall too. Micro+Lab, A&P+Lab, and Nursing Fundementals.... I'm still waiting on my College Comp Clep results though. If I didn't do well enough, I'll have to also take English Comp II. I'll have 3 coreqs left after this semester.
I hope everyone does well!!!

I am trying to get 3 12's a week as well. I have been picking up nights so I can get hw done. I am taking 2 classes in the fall and will try to get 3 in for spring. I am just taking classes for BSN while I wait for the RN prog. to open up.

I'm taking stats and Spanish! I didn't see anyone else taking span. But I thought it was a good idea. I think I'm gonna take span 2 next semester also.
