Finally ordered my stethoscope

I bought my stethoscope via all heart and it also ended with USPS, although my shipping was very reasonable (even with engraving). I was only aggravated that they left my stethoscope outside my door because I wasn't home, thank god it was there when I got home!

I keep checking everyday, I'm starting to get a little obsessed with it, because I don't want it left on my doorstep either.

Well I just tracked the scope to find it was shipped yesterday from allheart but FedEx will not deliver it until 8/23/12 SMH I ordered it on the 13th and that might be because it has to go through USPS. I just will be glad when I receive it. Thanks guys and good luck as a student.

Kconnor126 I am 37 also and we can do this I am also nervous and excited I feel I forgot how to study and concentrate but I plan to give it 110% and pray to get 100% out of it. We got this keep me posted on your journey and I will do the same.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement! It keeps me going! Someone on all nurses reminded me of a quote by Winnie the Pooh - "Your braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think". I hung it on my refrigerator and look at it everyday! I will definitely keep you posted and please do the same! It is so great to find support!

What did ya get? My school calls for a Sprague 122, which costs around $15. I got a Littman Master Classic SE, with my name on it (theft protection) for $107 delivered from Steeles. It is way more scope than I can take advantage of at this point in time, but that was the point in getting it. I can grow and develop my skills without it becoming a limiting item.

Just because it has your name on it won't prevent it from possibly getting stolen...my stethoscope (Littmann Cardiology III) has an ID tag on it with my name on it and an MD almost walked away with it. Never let your stethoscope out of your sight!

The Master Classic SE is a great scope, too

I'm using an old Littman II I've had for years -- the tubing matches my navy blue school scrubs. Ha!

I'll have to do something about personalizing it though, that's everyone I would have never thought to do that. Phew!

To be honest, I'd rather get a single head stethoscope. That's what the nurses on the floor use in meg surge. it's cheap (about $2 - $5) super light weight, and practical. It sucks having a large heavy steth around your neck, especially when you're running around - it just gets in your way.

I felt like a kid at Christmas waiting for my new scope! I got an MDF ProCardial and OMG this thing is awesome! It can convert to a full adult, peds or infant scope! I've been playing with it since i got it the other day!
