FGCU SPRING 2018

I received my rejection letter today. (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

I'm disappointed but I knew my TEAS score was just to low, I was deadly sick when I took it and I had no time to retake it.

TEAS (62.7%)

GPA (3.98) -it went up 0.02

You should try FSW for the Fall 2018

I used the Teas ATI book and it seemed helpful.

Did you end up getting in?

I'm reapplying for Spring since I got denied for the Fall semester. I had a 3.4 gpa and got an 84% on the TEAS

Hows the program everybody? Ive applied to fsw but looking i think i want to apply to fgcu because it's the same amount of time as fsw, but a higher degree

Im curious, what is the schedule like there? How many days of school etc?

Hi everyone! So I got in for Spring 2019 in Fgcu but I've heard mixed reviews about the program and the clinical locations. Can anyone give me some insight on whether this program is worth it or a better program than others?

Sorry, I'm just seeing this. I ended up waiting the semester and going to FGCU. I don't regret it one bit, and although the program challenges you, I'm doing it WITH kids, so you just have to want it!!! I wanted to end up with a BSN, and after calculating credit hours etc (this means I also added the RN-BSN bridge after FSW) it ended up being very close money wise. I highly recommend FGCU!

How are the clinical locations? Good hospitals/systems? Thank you for your feedback :)

So far one clinical rotation and my cohort was in 2 different hospitals and I've LOVED this rotation. Every clinical is a learning opportunity and a view of what it might look like to work there! I welcome the different hospital rotations and I will get to know where I might want to work! You meet different nurses in different parts of their careers... every single one has knowledge to pass along!

That's the part I'm most excited about! To be exposed to different parts of the nursing field and to meet new people! This may be a weird question but I know they have a strict piercing rule? Only one stud per ear. I have a cartilage stud piercing and that's the only one I have. Would I have to take it out or is that okay?
