  1. I would refer to the guidebook. Many of us have piercings and just take them out for lab and clinicals. Once you start working, many hospitals have different rules!
  2. So far one clinical rotation and my cohort was in 2 different hospitals and I've LOVED this rotation. Every clinical is a learning opportunity and a view of what it might look like to work there! I welcome the different hospital rotations and I will get to know where I might want to work! You meet different nurses in different parts of their careers... every single one has knowledge to pass along!
  3. Sorry, I'm just seeing this. I ended up waiting the semester and going to FGCU. I don't regret it one bit, and although the program challenges you, I'm doing it WITH kids, so you just have to want it!!! I wanted to end up with a BSN, and after calculating credit hours etc (this means I also added the RN-BSN bridge after FSW) it ended up being very close money wise. I highly recommend FGCU!
  4. I used the Teas ATI book and it seemed helpful.
  5. Yes, if you are denied you can use your previous application with your transcripts that have already been verified through nursing CAS. Spring applications and acceptances have already gone out, so next cycle to apply for is Fall 2018, with a deadline in Feb 2018.
  6. Just added the group to FB. Search FGCU Nursing Spring 2018
  7. Maragosto- add me as a friend so I can create a FB group for our nursing class! Daniela Cecil
  8. I got in with a 3.4 overall GPA, 3.78 prerequisite GPA and an 82 on my TEAS. I was denied for Fall, but accepted for Spring. Not sure if because I was currently enrolled in 2 of the prereq courses during fall applications had any play in being denied. Don't ever give up!! Keep applying!!!
  9. I seriously read this last night at midnight and realized I never checked the mail on Saturday! I got up checked first this this morning. I WAS ACCEPTED!!! Here's the dilemma... I was accepted for FSW for Fall. Anyone have any insight to sway me either way (besides the obvious BSN degree vs the ASN at FSW.)
  10. Thank you! You too! What is your first choice? I wish we didn't have to wait so long for decisions! I got into FSW for Fall, and just paid the $96 for finger printing and background and drug test. I will have to do it all over again for FGCU if I'm accepted. It's worth it though ☺️
  11. FGCU is top choice for me. I am married with children, and I can't just up and move, therefore making it my first choice. I didn't get in for Fall, but I was currently taking 2 prerequisites during the fall application time frame.
  12. I just got into Lee!!!Holy cow I'm on cloud 9!!!
  13. They send letters 8-12 weeks after the application deadline. In previous years mid July was when everyone received their letters.
  14. Do they send emails or regular mail? I'm getting super nervous!! Also, this would be to continue to phase 2, and then phase 3 interviews?
  15. Oh wow that's quick!! Now I'm super nervous!! Lol! I applied for Lee, and Collier second and said that Charlotte is not an option. It's almost an hour from my house one way (not in season), and I have a working spouse and 2 young children. With clinicals likely being close to the campus as well, I figured it would be too far away to commute, especially if there were ever an emergency.
