FGCU SPRING 2018

Hello everyone. I am applying for Spring 2018 as well. GPA:3.69 , Teas:80%. I know my stats are not great , I'm hoping I still get a chance though. I am an LPN with experience but from what I've heard they don't really look at that. But good luck everyone :)

NurseSophia18. I think you have a very good chance. The spring cycle is usually not as competitive as the deadline closes very early in the year. So even people that get denied from other schools for the fall might not make the application in time. There were people in the fall 2017 thread that got in with a 3.3 and 3.5 GPA with teas in the low 80s. I think With ur GPA, teas, and LPN experience, u have a pretty good shot!

NurseJenny1 have you considered going to another testing location to test before May 15? I think the 30 day wait time is only specific to a particular testing center. I may be wrong, but you should look into it.

Okay! I know I have seen your name in other forums. Are you applying anywhere else ? I am applying to UNF , and hopefully USF if they process my application to the school on time.

Yes! I'm waiting to hear back from USF, UNF, UF, currently on the waiting list for UWF. I also applied to FGCU for the spring just in case I don't get in somewhere (God forbid)

I am applying for Spring with a 3.48 GPA and only 2 B's in pre req classes. My TEAS is a 78.7 but I'm retaking it Monday (yep the deadline). I was denied for Fall, and hoping now that my pre reqs are completed that I'll have a better chance! Good luck! Glad to be on this journey with you all!

Okay so I submitted the application yesterday...scary! I too waited until the last minute to retake the TEAS (lol yesterday) but it sort of paid off! I got an 88% overall and its the 95th percentile so hopefully that balances out my 3.2 GPA. Good luck everybody!

On NursingCAS, does it say anyone's transcript is still being verified? They received mine on April 25, but it's still verifying. Is that bad?

Mine was the same during Fall semester. They didn't start showing as verified until after the deadline even though they had them for weeks. You're good!

Hi everyone . My transcripts were finally verified a few weeks ago. Do u guys know when we will hear anything at all? This was my first time applying. And where will they send us the letter since I barely log in to their school website .

They send letters 8-12 weeks after the application deadline. In previous years mid July was when everyone received their letters.

Did anyone get into their top choice school?
