Feeling down :(

For the past two weeks I have been using the Kaplan Qbank. Until today my scores have been in the 70's BUT today got 30% (I ran out of time) on one of my test. I'm feeling discouraged...my test date is two and half weeks away and I'm not sure what to do.

I have been using Kaplan for questions and Saunders for content but with working full-time i hardly get a chance to dedicate as much time as i want to reviewing content.

Does anyone have any recommendations that will help me improve my scores and build up my confidence?

Thanks guys

I also used Kaplan and Saunders to prepare for the exam. My scores ranged from 56-68 on the Q bank. I got a 67 on the readiness and a 64 on Qtrainers 6 and 7.

I also felt VERY discouraged when I would get 50's on the Q bank. On those days, I would relax because I was too stressed and I knew that if I continued to do questions I wouldn't do well. Instead, I just reviewed the content from the questions I got wrong using saunders. I personally think that doing bad on just one or two Q banks doesn't mean that your going to fail. Try not to be discouraged as you are probably just having an off day. By the way, scores in the 70s are AMAZING. GOOD JOB!!

70% are good scores. Maybe you just had a bad day, make sure you review the questions right or wrong, so you know where your thinking was compared to where it should have been. Pick your self up, brush off and refocus. Think of all the work you have put in so far! BE DETERMINED to pass NCLEX! Good luck :)

I agree with the PP, you probably just had a bad day. You might even need a day off from studying, to give your mind a rest.

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. The closer my test date approaches the more tense I become.

I also agree and think that I was too tried when I took that test...but with working fulltime and studying at night I am always exhausted.

Is anyone also working and study for NCLEX?

sas9aust I was working two jobs.. I had to quit one job and I am taking my board this weekend!

I was happy my manager gave me 4 days off!! I worked two jobs throughout nursing school.

Good luck and my kaplan scores are 50's and 60's and I took priority sample quiz got 80% I didn't believe it.. Try to do exams when your relaxed and stay hydrated and positive!!!
