Feeling down about the NCLEX

the wait is killing me. i took my test this monday (pn-85 qs) and i must have checked pearson vue 100 times already hoping the quick result would be ready already even though it is not 48 hours yet. i must be crazy because my mind is switching from feeling that i passed to feeling that i failed every other second.

this waiting is actually worst than the actual test. i so badly want to pass. i already told a lot of people that i took the nclex and i would feel so embarrass if i don't pass. i should stop thinking about the questions because i seemed to remember only those questions that i think i got wrong so it is making me more nervous and more stress. but i cannot help it.

please pray for me....i will find out tomorrow morning.

thank you so much!!!! :bowingpur:bowingpur

I'll definitely pray for you! :saint:

I am not sure about what state you took your boards in but In MN we can go to the MN board of nursing the very next morning (by 9am) and if we pass there will be a green dot and a "has passed" next to our name. You will probably have to have a password and user name to get on but you may have that if you registered online! If you do not, find someone that has one and see if they will check for you. Let me know if this works and good luck to you! (MN website: once at the site click on licensee or applicant, enter your username and password. Once in, there is a box on the far right that says "Open applications" that is where the results are. May work for your state as well, unsure...well worth a try!) :)

thank you for the info. new jersey does not post it that fast. it takes them a couple of months to do so. so i have to rely on pearson's unofficial result.

That (excuse my language) sucks!:grn:

thank you yani. and i will be praying for both of us.

the 48-hour wait is horrible. i should (hopefully) have my result by 9:30am tomorrow. i do not know if pearson counts from the beginning or the end of the exam. i started at 8am and finished at 9:30am.

what time did you take yours???

I would assume that they would at least have to start counting at the end of the exam since then, and only then, would the computer be able to make the pass/fail decision. Plenty of people have gotten their results within 24 hours, but it depends on the volume of test takers and the availability of people to post the results to Pearson. The wait will be over soon enough, and I hope it is on the winning end. For what it is worth, most people walk out of there thinking that they failed. I know I did...it was a strange exam. Good luck!
