you draw a folded up number from a bowl and then they call numbers in sets of 10 like 1-10 11-20 so on and thats how u get to pick the section you want.

A few more questions for those who have "gone before" just because I can do nothing else but wait until they mail Summer decisions:

-- What are the classrooms like at North campus? I saw a few in that hallway when I dropped off my application and they had those awful, uncomfortable, chair-attached-to-the-desk things more appropriate for elementary school kids. Please tell me the nursing classes aren't in those rooms!

-- What kind of practicing do you do on your classmates? Is it just basic stuff like BP/heart rate, or more personal like bed baths, oral care, etc?

-- Do you find it necessary to have a rolling backpack for all the textbooks and supplies I'm hearing about?

-- Do most instructors allow you to tape the lectures?

I only take tests on North Campus and for those, yes, those are the desks. The Deerwood Campus has tables and chairs.

NS's do not do ANY personal boundary crossing and NO invasive procedures on each other. The closest thing to this would be your Full Assessment check. You wear limited clothing as you are assessed by your partner.

For the most part, print your power points and take notes. Books are for home.

No.

As for the last answer to your question, it is at the discretion of the teacher. I had a classmate who recorded every lecture, from every teacher. You just have to ask. Unless there is some new rule in place.

Eve/WE take their classes at Deerwood. Days go to North.

YES THE NURSING CLASSROOMS ARE IN THOSE ROOMS!!!!! SMH they seriously need to update that campus....

So what do bigger people do?

In the room we used for testing, there was an old "teacher's desk" on the side and had a normal chair. Our classmate who weighed 350 at the start of NS used that desk instead of the chair/desk combination.

Well. Your points and grades are not good enough is not really true. I mean this is really silly. Like childish. Every woman and male who craves to be a nurse as much as I do will do what it takes to reach their goal. This program was not created to be racist, and as far as the Stats goes for minorities..whites..or whoever. RACE does NOT matter when you are working to save children, adults and the elderly lives. This program makes the people who are in form study groups, tutors, cpr certification before getting into the nursing program, job shadowing,..it's a class on top of the 12+ credits you have to maintain. It's not racist because there are people in this program that are already in the nursing program..It's a form of research to see how well minorities can do in the medical field.. nursing is just one of them. So please everyone this website is called ALLNURSES.COM right? So as pre-nurses and nurses we all should stick together to make a difference and a change. It's just sad that I view this as a good experience and my peers view this as discrimination. I stand with a 3.7 gpa average and I did all of that while maintaining my child, a household, working fulltime and going to school fulltime..I work just as hard as anybody esle who wants to be a nurse. Watch people give up because it's too hard and im still sticking through it just like the women who are in the program and those who are trying to get it. I look at it as HEY..THERE's ONE OF US (NURSES) WHO IS ABOUT TO DO WHAT I'LL BE DOING ONE DAY. i show nothing but love and support.
