I have a friend with a Duval address with 199 points that still hasn't received anything. I'm Duaval and have 195.04 and nothing for me either. Another friend had 188 (Duval)(she is Asian) and got in?? She said her letter said she had been selected, but had to get a letter of reccomendation from a professor and write a letter saying why she wanted to be a nurse. Now what is all that about??? Never heard of that before! And yes, it's for the same AS degree RN program...??? Who knows what's going on! Wonder if the point system means anything anymore, or is it just who they decide to let in.....

Let me state that I love and am happy for my friend that got in with 188, but I just don't understand why there is a point system when it applies only to certain people...??? :)

The letter your asian friend is talking about it for a scholarship for minorities and male nursing students. I received that in my mail yesterday, in order to get the SCHOLARSHIP she has to have to get a letter recommendation from a professor and write a letter why she wants to be a nurse. She needs to call up there because that is NOT theacceptance letter only for the Northeast Florida Initiative for Nursing Workforce Diversity Program Scholarship...

FutureRNmom, is your friend a resident of choice? I wonder if they are verifying all address? This is nuts! I would love to know (preferably, not me!) someone that has a "denial" letter. That way we will KNOW what the point cutoff was!!!

yes she is! I don't understand why they would wait to send out the letters if the deadline to accept is on tomorrow!!!! Mydream77 did you get accepted? I hope you guys hear something tomorrow!

One word : INSANE!

Maybe your "deadline to accept" is dependent on when you get your "acceptance" letters? All I know is I really thought I had a chance, then was bummed and now hopeful again! What a rollercoaster! For those of you that got your info, one way or the other, already....LUCKY!!!!

Hey FutureRNMOm- I am so excited for you!!!! I am so glad you have gotten accepted!!! As, far as I go I have not received any info!! I knew it could go either way for me, so now I would just really love to get the denial letter if that is what is going to happen so I don't have to worry anymore! I am so proud for everyone who got accepted and for those of you holding your breath like me I hope we hear something soon.

My points are not great, I had a's and b's in all my classes, but apparently I didn't do well on the nat. I only had 185, so I figured I would be very lucky if I had gotten in. It just sucks because I did work so hard!! anyways, enough of my pity party.. moving on ... Good Luck and hopefully I will see you guys next go round.. and all of those one semester ahead can give me heads up on the stuff I need to know!!!

Don't be discouraged! I had all A's in psych, sociology, human growth, Anatomy 2, statistics, humanities. B's in english and micro and 1 C in anatomy 1! If you are done with all your prereqs retake the NAT it's the EXACT same test and the EXACT same order! That's the reason why they make you wait 3 months before you retake it! If you do some reviewing for the test I guarantee you will score higher on it the next go round that's what happen to me! I was going to apply for Fall term but I only had 180 something without micro, by the end of the summer I retook the NAT and made a B in micro and that raised my points to well over 200!!! Just trying to encourage you! If you don't make it until next semester I will make sure I give you a heads up on your first semester!
