No, that's not the case! I would expect them to verify addresses. I would think they would have to do this to give priority. Actually, my points are figured wrong. I was not given credit for a class I took many years ago. I spoke with the director today and she is supposed to be checking in to it and getting back with me! But, thanks for the info... :)

I have points above the cutoff (Duval) and still have not received anything??? Geez! I hope they didn't lose my application! Does anyone else have above the cutoff (in Duval) and still not received anything??? Please let me know!!! I guess I'll be calling them tomorrow!

jkvanso, Did they tell your friend when they mailed out the last of the letters? (today or Friday)??? Looks like my chances have withered away.... I'm amazed that the cutoff must be soooo high this term...! Just my luck.LOL.. But, that deserves a "hat's off" and a big "congratulations to all those that made it! :yeah::balloons::w00t:

I'll be sure to let my friend know about that scholorship packet she received. Maybe she misunderstood and took it as an acceptance to the program? I hope for her, she is still accepted. Let me state that I love and am happy for my friend that got in with 188, but I just don't understand why there is a point system when it applies only to certain people...??? :)

I have a friend with a Duval address with 199 points that still hasn't received anything. I'm Duaval and have 195.04 and nothing for me either. Another friend had 188 (Duval)(she is Asian) and got in?? She said her letter said she had been selected, but had to get a letter of reccomendation from a professor and write a letter saying why she wanted to be a nurse. Now what is all that about??? Never heard of that before! And yes, it's for the same AS degree RN program...??? Who knows what's going on! Wonder if the point system means anything anymore, or is it just who they decide to let in.....

Hi Jenjt83, Do you remember exactly what your score was? I see you had 195.something. I am oly asking because I have 195.04 and also in Duval, but no letter or email for me today. I applied with 195.04, and no email or snail mail for me today! I have a Duval address, so I'm kinda worried. I see someone got in with a 195.something, so I hope I didn't miss the cutoff by less than a point! I'm still hoping!
