FCCJ Fall 2008

Hello all! Just thought I'd start a thread for all of those folks that have submitted, or are getting ready to submit, their applications for FCCJ's Fall '08 term.

I will be submitting my application in a few weeks, when this Spring term ends. I have taken my NAT (twice), so I'm good to go there, but still need to get my CPR class done. I called several places & I'm waiting to hear back from them.

I look forward to chatting with & getting to know all of you, who will be doing the count-down with me... on getting our acceptance letters!!!

I know it helps to sound-board off each other & to lean on each other for support... especially with getting all the things done that we have to do!

Best of luck & success to all!!!

okay so im a little confused, so I need you all to explain something to me, this calc book is huge, so how far are they expecting us to get in it, are we suppose to go through the whole entire book before classes begin, or certain sections, or what, its very vague and i need someone to tell me what exactly to study ...do we just follow the out line we printed off or what? ill get the hang of this shortly, i promise!

I am totally having a panic attack right now!!!

I can't get my doggone books!!! Financial Aid is playing games. I turned the forms in weeks ago. Artemis is still saying I need to submit them. Every time I call, it's something new. Last weeks it was "the forms are on the advisor's desk and she's not in today". The week before that they didn't have any record of me submitting them and it showed no record of a FAFSA even being submitted. Why in the world have I submitted the same forms like 3 times to 2 different campuses?

Then ol' WorkSource had a good one for me today. They should have just said: "We have good & bad news. The good news is you will be turning in your time sheets every month staying in contact with us...but, the bad news is you can't get funding until next semester" *Spring*...It's like a trial thingy.

That's all jazzy and stuff. But, I NEED my books!!!

got all my books today, came up to over 900 dollars, sucks!!

Dizern :: Did you know that your like 6 days older than me?? 6 days!! LOL.

I have a question... I'm a little late, but please forgive me. LoL.

What are the two books that WE MUST HAVE???

I had to wait until tomorrow because the scholarship is supposed to be processed tomorrow. I'll just use the worksource stuff on the other crap.

Please help... I need help. Haha.

gotcha by six days huh...what can I say early bird gets the worm!

For anyone who may have gotten all of their books today; were the boxes ready? You know the big brown box with what I thought would be ALL the books we needed in it, but apparently we need to buy EVEN MORE books. It was "supposed" to save us some money... are they ready yet? I think the lady with the publishing company said they were going to try to have them ready by Wednesday or Thursday, but if they're ready I'll go get 'em tomorrow.

Yeah, the hubby shelled out so much $ today for my books, tuition, physical--etc.

i just got my uniforms!!3_2_2.gif yay! everything fits okay, i followed the sizes from the site. the shirt is not made for my body though. i have big hips so the shirt doesn't flare out enough for me. its not bad but i can tell, you know. if i get a med then the shirt will look too big like a jacket because it already fits big in the shoulder/arm area. i guess i will try it out, it's still comfortable. who knows with the stress of 1st term i might lose a couple of pounds. ha ha and i didn't even know that ups delivered so late. he came 10 mins til 8.

try a medium, that is what i did. i ordered with a friend so we could be over the 200 and save on shipping. well i ordered a small and her a medium and i so prefered the medium, but would have been thinking the same as you and just would have dealt with it. i am not swimming in the medium and it really is not that much bigger in the top. i had to send back my lab coat since it was too huge and the khakis, they just did not look professional on me (it looked like i borrowed from my hubbys closet or something! lol) i got another pair at pennys. i still need one more pair of scrubs but i was going to wait and see what the instructor had to say about which brand to get if i wasn't going with meridys.

Dizern: If you go in to the nursing tutor go under documents and you will find the independent study guide for the dosage calc book. There is one for dosage calc and one for IV calc and one for medical terminology.

Money, money, money.

I talked with my husband and I'm getting loans for the first term. And I'm gonna try to find a student worker position on the North Campus. It'll save on gas and time.

I just don't know how I'll study and be ok if I'm doing work or school everyday from 7am - 7pm. Except Tuesdays...till 9pm on Tuesdays. I figure I can work something out to cover the bills if I can get loans. I gotta tell my boss tomorrow. I wonder if she'll be upset at me.
