FCCJ Fall '09???

Anyone else planning on applying to FCCJ's nursing program for Fall '09? I figured we might as well start a "support group" thread of sorts for those of us who are. Never too early to start, right?

Can anyone tell me what is going on with the letters, etc.? I still haven't recieved anything in the mail! I would love to know something but I haven't even gotten a boo from them!! What gives? I called the nursing department yesterday and left a message on CJ's voicemail. I stated that I hadn't received anything at all and was wondering if my application had gotten lost. I said that I would like to know if it was or what my status was. Of course I really don't expect anyone to call me back since I see from the message board that it is obvious they won't let anyone know anything. Which I think is very bad business when it comes to people. Anyway, does anyone know anything?

I still have not heard anything either. I just want to know!!! This is utterly ridiculous. I also called and have not heard back as of yet. I feel your pain!

I have contacted worksource and it is somewhat income based. You have to fall into one of three categories...

+Unemployed (and have to qualify for and file unemployment)

+Dislocated worker/homemaker (aka laid off due to major economy/loss of income due to divorce

+Meet to poverty level with your income

I contacted to office off of Salisbury and attended to orientation.

I would call and talk to someone at the front desk for help, not cheryl james. A friend of mine had not gotten a letter and he talked to them yesterday and it turns out they sent his packet to the wrong address, so he had to go to campus and pick up all of the information. Orientation is less than two weeks away. You would think at this point that they could tell you something.

Does anyone have an alternate number for the nursing office. I only have CJ's number. Thanks

I am starting to think that I may need to make a trip to the nursing office and have a face-to-face with someone. I can't see how they could mess up my address since it has been the same for over a year but you never know with them!

Call the main North Campus number, press O for the operator and then ask to speak to the nursing department receptionist. Good luck!

The limits for the poverty level may be changing sometime this fall to twice the amount it is now. Also, the numbers change depending on the size of your family, so it's worthwhile to check into it even if you think you won't qualify.

7666581 is for nursing

7666584 is for cheryl

If you call the 766-6581 number you'll get a recording. The only way I've ever talked to a live person is to call the main number, dial 0 for operator, and stress that you want to talk to the nursing department receptionist.

i just called today and spoke with a receptionist. it depends if their at the desk!

Question. Has anyone checked their admission status in Artemis. Mine still says N and I just want to make sure they got my voicemail accepting my seat. They really need to think of a different way of having people call and accept their seats other than leaving a voicemail. Even if you call and press 1 for accept 2 for decline or something. I would even feel better about that.
