Anybody heard anything about the FCCA as of yet?

They sent me a paper and pencil version in September and I had 10 days to return it.
Did you finish the CPNE yet?
I have sent my application in and asked to test anytime after 1-1-2008. I'm scared that I will get a date and then the FCCA will be released. Then I would have to either rush to get it done or postpone my CPNE.
Yes, I passed in Utica in August. They let me take the CPNE 1st b/c the FCCA wasn't close to being ready.
Has anybody taken the paper FCCA before the CPNE?

If they've already let you apply for the CPNE, I don't think you'll have to worry about the FCCA until you're done with the CPNE. You should clarify that with a nursing advisor, though; I'm just going based on logic, and we know that doesn't always apply!
How bad was it? And how much did it cost?
This is from the message back from the advisor at EC:
"The FCCA should be available in the spring 2009. Students who are eligible to move onto the FCCA between now and when they become available will be made CPNE eligible. This will enable students to keep progressing forward. Once the CPNE is complete they will be able to go back and take the FCCA."
I didn't find it difficult at all but anything is easy after you pass the CPNE LOL. Umm I think it was $300 or so. It would have been helpful to take before the CPNE though.
I wish that they would allow us to take the paper version before the CPNE!
I really don't know why you can't since it was designed to help guide your studies before the CPNE! Have you asked an advisor why you can't take it? I spelled it out loud and clear that since I finished this D#@% program in 8 months they better not make me wait for the FCCA. I don't know how many people have gotten to test that way but I don't think it could hurt to ask.
I will ask..................
