Since it is time to apply I thought it would be fun to see who is applying where, how long they have to wait to find out "yay!" or "boo!" and what pre req's were required and what you have left to take!!!
Here I go!!
I am applying to Salisbury University 2nd degree BSN and Texas A & M Corpus Christi 2nd Degree BSN
Salisbury due Dec 1 and TAMUCC is due Feb (16?)
I think we hear about 2-3 months later.
Salisbury application will be in the mail tomorrow!!
I am currently taking A & P I and Chemistry. I have A& P II and Microbiology next semester, and Nutrition (only for A&M) and pathophysiology in the Summer.
So far so good in A& P I have an A and the class average is a C-! CHemistry, I can not wait for it to be over!!! But I am passing. I also had to take statistics, but did so for my BS MIS so one less class for my BSN pre reqs!
Good luck to everyone and lets try and post updates as they come!

Hello,
Good luck to you. I'm applying to the CT Community Colleges program (Three Rivers campus). I'm completing my co-requisites this semester (psych and sociology), and next semester I'll take A&PII. If I get in, all I'll have left is the 4 semesters of nursing classes, which will be plenty.

i am applying to san diego state university, but i'm 90% sure i'm not going to get accepted to the nursing program.
this fall i am taking intro to soc, gen psych, and micro, next semester physio, inorganic chem, oral comm, and psych devel.
super competitive to get into, and with budget cuts, looks almost out of grasp
but even if i don't get accepted, i am going to take the upper division requirements and apply again to sdsu and csub (plan a 1/2)

Maryville University weekend and evening BSN program. Should know by March if I am excepted, I think therea are 56 spots.
Am currently taking A&P I, Algebra and an 8 week ciminology elective starting on 10/22.
Will take A&P II and Statistics in the fall, and have micro and chem next summer.........
Have to have them all done and passed to start in the Fall of 2010. I honestly was going to wait to apply for 2011 so I could take only one class a semeseter and have the summer off, but if I only take one class I am considered less than part-time and will lose my students loans...............

Most likely I'll be applying for Fall 2010...just need to narrow it down a bit more to 3-4 schools. SUNY Downstate will be one of them for sure, besides that I'm not sure right now.

I applied of fall 2010 on October 1, the first day they started accepting applications. I'm not sure how long it will take to get an acceptance letter, I'm assuming it will be several months.
I'm in Canada, and it's a little different here. We have to take a 4 year bachelor's program in order to be an RN. The only prerequisites are high school courses, but there are several courses from the program that can be taken as an unclassified student in order to lighten the load once you're in school. So far I've upgraded my high school marks (finishing my last class this semester) and have also taken 2 Psych classes, Anthropology, Human Sexuality, and Microbiology. I'm planning on taking Anatomy, Physiology I, and Physiology II next year. My GPA is sitting at 3.88 (3.2 needed to be accepted), and high school average is 91% (82% needed) so I'm hoping to get into the program - it will just depend on how many others have applied for the 160 seats!

Accepted fall '10 to WITC in Superior (ADN). I have to take speech. Bleh. I'm doing it online. Wha-?
I still have an incomplete from pathphys last year when my DD2 was born, but my teacher is super and is letting me back into the class to complete my last few things. That was online, too. I took it in case I decide to go for a second degree when I graduate. It was one of the only non-nursing classes I needed for the BA. For some reason they don't offer a BSN, which I find odd, but whatever. So for the BA, I also just have core classes to take (BA in English already).
Anyway, once those two remaining classes are done, nothing but core classes, baby!

Where are you applying?
CSULB, SFSU (hah, just for the heck of it), CSUEB, California State University, Chico, Santa Rosa JC, CCSF and Napa Valley College.
Overall GPA:
3.6
Prereq GPA:
3.5
Courses Left to take:
Physiology and Statistics, both of which I'm taking now.
TEAS Scores:
88 overall, 100 math
NVC is my backup school because it's on a waitlist, so I'll definately get in but it might be a few years. The other JC's are lotterys so I'm not counting on those. Top choice is LB.

My Fall 2010 options are UF and USF for the accelerated BSN programs. (My boyfriend graduates from grad school in May so we're trying to play the "where can he find work, where can I go to school, should we stay in FL or should we move?" game around his grad and my nursing school plans. It's a PAIN.)
I've already taken pretty much everything non-science in years past, though I'm retaking a bunch that I got B's in years ago for both the A's and the refresher. This semester's schedule is A&P 1, Stats, Nutrition, Dev. Psych and Gen. Psych.
Spring will be A&P 2, Microbiology, Ethics, and maybe Chem 2 if I can't find a full-time job by then and feel masochistic enough.
I'm totally enjoying being back in school, even though I only had a 3 month break after my BA. I have a 100% average in all of my pre-nursing classes so far, even A&P! Hopefully that plus my rockin' GRE score will help get me in to UF.
UF's application is due Jan 15 and we should hear back by March. If I don't get into UF, USF's is due in June (which seems so late! I'll be putting my application in the second spring semester is done!) and I'd hope we hear back soon after because it's for a late August start. These schools that don't give you much time to plan between acceptance and classes starting drive me nuts!

I'm applying to UMDNJ (University of Medicine & Dentistry of NJ) Accelerated BSN program. I'm applying by end of January 2010. The deadline is much later, but trying to get mine in early.
Currently taking A&P I, Microbiology, Psychology, and Sociology
Next semester is A&P II and Chemistry
My GPA is a 3.2 when I received my B.A. This will be the GPA they look at first. I must have a minimum of a 2.75 in all of my prerequisite courses for them to continue looking at my application.
