Fall 2016 MSN FNP

Just trying to reach out and see if anyone is applying for Fall 2016 Family Nurse Practitioner programs!

I'm applying to 4 schools and am very nervous/excited!

Taking the GRE's in a week! Anyone else in the same boat as me??

I, too, am applying for Fall 2016. I am so excited...about school, surprisingly! But also the goals I will achieve :-)

Good Luck to all!

vitiana - good luck to you too!! :)

gelli.25 - Awesome! What schools are you applying to?? I'm surprisingly very excited too! I've been studying/taking practice exams for the GRE's and don't even hate it! haha weird! I'm also so excited to become an NP...hoping I get in somewhere though. From threads I've read on here it seems like it's very difficult to get into grad school?! It's been pretty discouraging reading these threads (which is why I started this one for some positive reinforcement!) Would love to hear back from you!

That's smart to get it all ready early!! I just made the decision that now is the right time for me to go back to school and applications are due in just a few months for the Fall - so I'm scrambling a bit but hopefully everything falls into place :)

I applied to Northern Kentucky University's FNP program for fall 2016. I won't know if I'm accepted until the end of February (the wait is brutal í ½í¸£). I'm debating if I should apply to at least two more schools. I received my BSN from NKU in 2014 so it's my first choice!

TalyaRN - You'll be fine! :) I've heard a lot that graduate schools love having their undergrad's come back. Unfortunately I went to a small liberal arts school that only offers one graduate school nursing program (that I'm not interested in) so I can't go back there... Super nervous

Does everyone have to take GRE? That is something I haven't even thought about...

iowapink - It depends what schools you are applying to. Some require the GRE and some don't. I think schools are trying to veer away from it, but it's a process so I had to take it for my top three schools. But I just took it on Tuesday and did okay! It's not as scary as it's made out to be!

I was officially accepted to my first choice today. Merry Christmas to me! I'm excited and nervous for what comes next.

congrats!! I wish I had that peace of mind.........

I ended up applying to one more school as a backup. I got my acceptance letter from University Southern Indiana yesterday! Still waiting to hear from NKU.
