Fall 2016 MANE Programs

Hi! Just checking in to see if there are any other pre-nursing students out there applying to the MANE programs for next Fall. I know the applications are due in the next couple of weeks and I just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts. I've submitted one to Century and am turning in Normandale's on Monday. Still waiting to hear back on a prerequisite waiver for IHCC.

    My acceptance letter for Century came today!!!!! I had to file an appeal for transcript issue and it was approved! My composite score was either 11.87 or 12.0 depending on how they took a transfer class. I will be accepting my position for Fall 2016. Fingers crossed for those of you still waiting! Good Luck!!! This means that I will be declining my spot at Metro State if anyone is keeping track for there. My composite score for Metro was 12.0

    Any idea how long the background check results take to come? I feel like I filled mine out quite a while ago and still haven't received anything in the mail back.

    Depending on your school the might not actually do the background checks until mid-summer for budget reasons.

    They don't even process them tell July 1st. This could be due to budget concerns, and they just want to allow time for waitlists to be rolled through, so they have a pretty stable list of people who will be attending for sure in the fall.

    Hello! Just FYI, if you accepted one of the 40 spots in Normandale's program, I have started a Facebook page for the Fall 2016 group. It's to connect, coordinate, and support each other.

    It's called "Fall 2016 Cohort - Normandale Nursing."

    Just search "Normandale Fall 2016" and you'll see it. :)
