Failed screening

Not sure where to begin, I got into this program almost a year ago and have had 3 positive screenings for opiates, please don't come after me. Was curious what the ASBN will do about this, I'm willing to do whatever, I just need some reassurance here. This is my first time posting on this forum. I have read hours upon hours of topics on here, not hardly slept and just disgusted with myself. Thinking it would be better just to surrender my license then to face the board. Has anyone ever had to deal with being kicked out of monitoring? I am single and have no real family to help me and I'm gonna loose everything without a job. Thanks for reading.

Thank you. I know the foods and hand sanitizer.  I avoid perfume. I couldn't find other substances to avoid

When I find the list I'l put it up but remember that alot of it is anecdotyl and submitted to me by other persons in my support group so your actual results may vary.

Can I get highlights in my hair? Make up?

Yes, just be careful of products that contain alcohol. The most common form in cosmetics is SD Alcohol 40. So natural products are usually a good bet.

I had three positive ETGs. Technically not false as they only occur when the liver processes ETOH. They were all just above the incidental threshhold. All three times I was taken off work until I had two negative tests. I did a lot of research about products that contain ETOH and one I learned to avoid those products I never had a positive again. I suppose it helped that at the time my boss was friends with my case manager.

Wow, you must be in a  good state with a great monitoring agency.  In my state, if I ever had 3 positives for ETG (doesn't matter if it's false or not), I am sent back to residential rehab for a "recovery reset" for 3 weeks.  It will probably cost me like $5-10k.

I'm not sure, but if I ever were to get a "positive ETG" doesn't matter how much above the 100ng mark, they would make me do a peth test as a confirmatory.

Well to be fair I finished the California diversion process over 20 years ago and just hang out here as a resource. Whwen I did my program I did't even have to do inpatient. I had self enrolled in an IOP prior to my first DEC meeting and so they let me finish that with the proviso that if I relapsed I would have to go to inpatient. Also the three positives occurred over the courese of 4 years and were widely spaced out.

@Universe93B  it's been 10 days since I had my hair follicle test and no results still. Do you have any idea from other coworkers how long the test results took to come back? Ty!

Usually 4 days but I had a urine test take 2 weeks.  Maybe lost in the mail? They use fed ex here.

My peTH came back in 2 days which was fast but hair is still out there! It was a 10panel stat and etg hair test

Were they all sent together?

@Healer555 no I had hair test one week and peTH the next week. PeTH results came back quickly, but the hair test just came back today! Of course, all negative. I just didn't understand why it took so long on my hair follicle test!
