Hey I am not sure what is a good book or not I used Kaplan, Mosby, and Pearson and I failed! my test was all on medications I never heard of, I didnt get any OB or PEDS or even 1 math problem, I had 90 questions all on teaching of meds. I decided to do a online teaching through nscbn, hope this works and I plan to retake the exam in September. Well good luck to u, keep trying to smile and keep your head up!

Why don't you try the new version of Saunders (4th edition).

Excellent for content. Try just one source not including your drug guide, but when you are complete with gaining the content then you can try Kaplan for strategies. So many re-takers have passed with Saunders. It is an excellent resource all in one book. Good luck...

I took Kaplan and used Saunder's and I think I got more benefit from the Saunders.

I agree with Nikki and Jazzi, Saunders is the best for content, it's not all summarized like Kaplan's Book. Plus it has Test yourself quizzes at the end of each chapter that are helpful in reinforcing what you've learned. All of us have failed, it's ok hang in there.. your not alone, let's keep trying.:banghead:

Yes, Dont give up ! I know its hard now, you WILL pass this test,...the previous posts mention saunders 4th and Kaplan for strategies and i totally agree ! Take some time to "re-group" and hit them books again and hit the NCLEX even harder..

I failed and only had 75 questions.

most seemed to be prioritizing. Do people pass after failing w/75 questions

keep your chin up, it took me several tests, just study like you have not taken the test before, I like Sanders.

I too failed with 75Q last week. I had used Kaplan both classroom and online including Qbank that all indicated that I was ready to take the exam and pass. Oh well...didn't work for me. I have a stack of books sitting in front of me but have used Saunders in the past while in school and liked it alot so I am going to start there. I think perhaps Kaplan is good strategy wise but it is very short on content in my opinion if that is where one needs to concentrate or brush up on. Good luck to all!

I used the prioritization, delegation & assignment by Bartz. I thought it was a good a way to practice 'test taking skills'.

Prioritizing, Delegation, & Assignment by bartz;

I thought it was a good book to practice 'test taking skills'. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

The Prioritization, Delegation & Assignment is a good book to practice 'test taking skills'. I felt it helped me to find my weak points as well as identify how I was reading the question and answers.

haha, sorry for all the replys. my pc went on the fritz, i didn't know the other replys posted. :):clown:
