hi everyone!
I desperately need some advice and HELP! I recently found out that I failed the NCLEX. Unsure how to approach the exam for the next time since I took the Kaplan course. Any advice would help!
thank you

I failed the nclex twice and I took it today for the 3rd time. I understand your pain. I truly reccommend you get the 2007 edition of saunders nclex review. It covers 100% of the content you will see on the nclex!

I suggest using Suzanne's study plan (Saunders) and also the questions from the NCSBN website:

sorry to hear that you failed, plenty of practice questions and checking rationale when you have gotten wrong ones so you can understand why you got it wrong. Why not try Suzanne plan?
how many times are we allowed to retake teh nlcex??

How many times you take nclex depends on your BON.some will tell you that you go back to school after like 5years or so of trying and not passing. Some 3years.It all depends on your BON.
But if i should say,you dont have to have your mind set at taking it till the BON tells you that you've reach your maximum. You got to be optimistic. When you try and fail, you dont have to lie where you've fallen. You need to get up,dust yourself and try again.Dont despair cos there is always a silver lining beneath a dark cloud.Just like somebody said, always read your rationales as you study. You can do it.You really need to believe in yourself.I know that when you try and failed you tend not to believe that you can do it but i tell you,you can do it.Hang in there!!

Have you tried a strategy book like the one Kaplan makes? A lot of the NCLEX isn't so much nursing knowledge as knowing *how* to think through the questions and that book helped me go about it methodically. Also it helped to meet with a friend every few days and do some practice questions so we could reason together and see different ways of approaching it. Good luck!
