Hi

I did not fail the NCLEX. I took it on Tuesday and passed. Just start over again with your study habits. Take a review course and study 100 questions out of your review book every day. That is what I did and that is what is recommended. You'll do fine the second time around. Remember if you could get through nursing school, you can pass that test.

Hey I just thought I would pass this on a fried told me that it I should read and do the NCLEX questions on the Saunders CD-Rom study guides, and pay attention to the rationales. I will take mine for the first time on 7-6-04 and i am very nervous. So she suggested to me to read each question thuroughly and the answers the same way. the right answer is there you just have to pull from all the knowlege and rationally think it out. Good Luck!!!

a friend just told me, is what i meant to say. I just got done working out our county fair. So, I am a little tired.

sagarcia.....I am so sorry. You know I am just a student but wanted you to know I am thinking of you and praying for you. What a tough one!

I was devasted. I cried for a month-until I took it the second time around. the feeling will pass-trust me. Get up brush yourself off, and take it again. When I failed, I had to really look inside myself to find that place in me that made me want to be a nurse. I was considering giving up on the profession. Good luck to you-I am sure that you will pass this time around.

I am so sorry. Take a little break do something nice for yourself. When you are ready to start studying again try doing the saunders comprehensive review book. Take care and I wish sucess for you in your next attempt.

sagarcia, i think you've gotten some pretty good suggestions. I don't graduate until December '04, but I know I would be devistated too if that happened to me. I'm a little nervous about the NCLEX since it changed in April '04 so now I don't know what to expect. GOOD LUCK! I KNOW YOU'LL DO FINE!:)

Thanks everyone!!! I do not personally know all of you, but I feel like I have friends that understand !!! I will do each suggestion!!! Thanks!!

Sagarcia,

How Did You Study? I'm Just Curious! If You Didn't, Then Start After A Little Break. Do At Least 75-100 Questions A Day, Either By Book Or Cd But Do Them. I Had Scheduled My Test And Then I Postponed It Because I Didn't Feel Ready. I Used Saunders, Lippincott, Nclex 3000, Mosby's Flash Cards, And The Princeton Review. I Did As Many As I Could And I Passed. These Books Give A Variety Of Questions So You Get Used To Answering Them. Its Not So Much What You Know But How You Answer The Question. So, Don't Give Up! I Know A Couple Of People Who Took It More Than Once And Passed. Someone On This Site Took It Three Times B-4 She Passed. You Can Do It. Just Practice. And Keep Your Confidence. You Got Thru School So You Can Get Thru This......

I did study some everyday, except on Saturdays. I used flashcards and mosbys. I think I studied all wrong. A couple of days ago, I bought a book called NCLEX-RN 101:

How To Pass by Sylvia Rayfield and Loretta Manning (2 of the biggest names in nursing ed.). I have been reading this book, and I figured I did not study right. This book tells me to do what you did, leraern, but it says to do an hours worth (60) questions. Then go back, find out which ones were wrong, what area these weaknesses are in, and study those weak areas for another hour. It said to do this everyday.

I also have Lippincotts, NCLEX made incredibly Easy,Prentice Hall, and I just ordered the nclex 3000.

Now that I am armed with all that and a better way to study.... I WILL PASS THAT TEST IN 45 DAYS!!!!!

I want everyone to know that I truely appreciate all your support!!!
