Failed Nclex my first time

wow!!! i failed!!!!! at first i felt like such a failure, but after reading all the inspiring comments on this website im starting to feel a little better. i was between a b and c student in nursing school. and i did not study as much as i should have for the nclex. i also studied material from 2011, 2012, 2010, etc. i have decided to enroll in hurst review. it is the only one offered this time of year close to where i live. i cant really afford it, but it beats paying another 200 take the nclex and not making nurses bank!!!! plus they offer money back guarantee. im 45yo and i have doubts about myself.....but i have to keep trying...and dont let people get you down...

Don't give up ! I enjoy the Kaplan online anywhere course and it helped me pass my NCLEX. It is pretty expensive but it is worth it. I spent 60 days studying and have taken 3000 question total with scores of 60-70%. I barrowed all comprehesive review NCLEX books from school and it haved saved me alot of money. I hope this help and wish you the best of luck!

Will be praying for you and know you can do this!! I'm using Kaplan nclex RN 2013-2014 from amazon $26, three of my friends used only this and passed with it shutting off in the mid 80s. I like the strategies in Kaplan and will be testing soon. So best of luck and keep us posted. Let yourself vent and accept the bump in the road then move past it and succeed!

I was 45 when I took the NCLEX-RN. There are some that are much older. So get rid of the doubts. The NCLEX doesn't know your age, nor does it care. So only YOU can remove the obstacle of doubting yourself.

Great advice! The 2010-2011 edition is ALL I used back in 2010, making sure that i COMPLETLEY understood the rationales, and passed with the minimum amount of questions!

yea i am going to get kaplan when i get paid. right now i am just looking a questions from 1022 1012 version.

I used Kaplan, it is expensive but worth it. I also used review books - Saunders, PDA by LaCharity. Cheek libraries for NCLEX review books. If you have time go to your local bookstores, and read some NCLEX books.

I was able to search for NCLEX 3500 and NCLEX cram online for free - try googling it. Good luck, and never give up!

i too failed my nclex this july 15th, shut off at 76. try to focus on your weakness. i just received my result, and 3 are above average: management of care, Health and promotion and Psychosocial integrity. I am planning to use Kaplan anywhere coz it is harder than the nclex and it helps you on the strategies. i am buying Davis RN success in amazon.com coz it helps in SATAs and contents.

I know you can do it, try to study hard on your weak areas but don't forget to study on the strong ones.

WE CAN DO THIS! WE ARE THE FUTURE RNs!!!

;) :nurse:
